According to the advise of the Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure’s Hydrologic Forecast Centre there is a prediction of high winds along the south basin of Lake Manitoba and western shorelines near Gimli and Victoria Beach on the east side of Lake Winnipeg which would reportedly develop Wednesday afternoon and last until Thursday early morning.
Wave action by Northwest wind gusts up to 55 km/h could raise levels by as much as five feet or more.
Residents and property owners are advised to remain vigilant and take any necessary precautions.
