Hundreds of Indian students from Canada facing deportation due to alleged fake admission letters

Toronto: Approximately about 700f Indian students are reportedly facing the risk deportation from Canada based on their alleged fake documentation for thier study permits.

The students reportedly arrived in Canada between 2017 and 2020.

When Canada Border Security Agency (CBSA) had a conclusive evidence that the letter of offer of admission which formed the basis of their study permits of these Indian students to a Canadian higher education institution was reportedly fake, the agency started issuing notices for a hearing in 2021 and 2022.

The majority of the affected students were reportedly represented by the agent Brijesh Mishra of the Jalandhar-based counselling firm EMSA Education and Migration Services Australia.

Three students have reportedly met officials at the Indian Consulate in Toronto.

A senior official with India’s High Commission in Ottawa reportedly said that the matter is being pursued by the Canadian authorities.
