Bollywood Ki Dhun celebrates the success of its YouTube channel

Local South Asian Non-profit organization “Bollywood Ki Dhun” celebrated the success of their YouTube channel on Friday, March 8th, 2024 at Markham.

Bollywood Ki Dhun (BKD) is a South Asian not-for-profit organization that was founded by Rajan Sharma during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.

This Markham, Ontario-based organization aims to provide a platform to promote and inspire new as well as young talent in North America. Bollywood Ki Dhun is comprised of several singers, performers, and musicians who showcase their talents to their wonderful audiences. The volunteers and artists featured in Bollywood Ki Dhun come from various professional backgrounds and walks of life.

This community organization recently celebrated the milestone of having reached 1400 subscribers on their YouTube channel. The collective views on their channel exceed 175,000 and consist of 47 entertaining videos. Bollywood Ki Dhun’s YouTube channel is comprised of videos of local artists performing beautiful renditions of several melodious Bollywood film songs.

This success party was held at the Bollywood Ki Dhun headquarters in Markham, Canada, and was attended by the Markham-Unionville Member of Parliament Paul Chiang who conveyed his best wishes to Bollywood Ki Dhun. Several artists performed songs at this event including Dev Arora, Vijay Jain, Dr. V Radhakrishnan, Rohan Kapoor, Anil Suravarpu, Keerthi Devulapalli, Mahima Saini, Neelam Gupta, and Rajan Sharma.

Among other dignitaries, Sam Chopra, President, South Asians in Ontario, Sudha Varma, Governor, Lions Club, Lallt Gupta of Gupta Foods and Manjit Banwait real estate tycoon attended the BKD success Party.

Bollywood Ki Dhun has hosted several live and virtual events including their virtual Holi Show which was endorsed by the Right Honourable Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as well as shows hosted on the occasion of Vaisakhi and Diwali. They also conducted a live show on August 4th, 2022 on the occasion of legendary singer Kishore Kumar’s 93rd birthday that was attended by more than 200 people. Their online shows are comprised of a virtual event on the occasion of the launch of Bollywood Ki Dhun as well as a Canada-US unity concert.
