Bollywood celebrities, including many A-listers turn Ambani’s Ganpati bash into a fashion runway

Mumbai/IBNS-CMEDIA: Like every year, Bollywood celebrities, including several A-listers, descended on Antilia, the Mumbai residence of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, on Monday for Ganesh Chaturthi as the city decked up for the festival.

From Kareena Kapoor Khan and her family to Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the puja at Ambani’s residence turned out to be a star-studded destination as the Reliance Industries chairman hosted a massive gathering.

The arrival of the stars at Antilia was no less than a red-carpet appearance at an awards show, with cameras capturing the celebrities in their glamorous festive avatars.

The celebration soon turned into a fashion extravaganza on the internet, with videos and pictures of the stars going viral within minutes.

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan

Kareena Kapoor Khan chose a striking mustard-yellow Anamika Khanna floor-length Anarkali for the occasion.

The outfit featured a broad gold zari border, adding a festive touch to its otherwise clean silhouette. She accessorised the look with a layered pearl necklace, keeping her overall appearance elegant without going overboard with embellishments.

Saif Ali Khan opted for a completely traditional look. He wore a bright crimson-red kurta with a classic white dhoti designed by couturier Abhisek Roy, creating a sharp contrast with Kareena’s mustard ensemble. 

His understated styling relied on the timeless colour combination and traditional silhouette. 

Karisma Kapoor

Karisma Kapoor opted for a vivid fuchsia-pink and orange plaid silk saree.

She paired the saree with a three-quarter-sleeve V-neck blouse and carried a metallic textured clutch.

The vibrant combination gave her look a colourful, old-school festive appeal while retaining her signature elegance.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor

Alia Bhatt took a more contemporary approach to festive dressing.

She wore a custom Masaba Gupta metallic ice-blue saree featuring intricate woven detailing. The unusual shade set her apart from the more conventional reds, pinks and yellows seen at the celebration.

She paired the saree with an asymmetric, off-the-shoulder embroidered corset blouse and accessorised it with traditional polki drop earrings and statement bangles.

The look blended modern fashion with the classic Indian saree silhouette.

Ranbir Kapoor coordinated with Alia without exactly matching her. He wore a rich navy-blue knee-length kurta set, layered with a lavishly embroidered Nehru jacket featuring cream floral threadwork.

The navy-and-cream combination gave the actor a sophisticated and relatively understated festive look.

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal

Katrina Kaif opted for an olive-green flared Anarkali.

The dupatta emerged as the highlight of her outfit, featuring Rajasthani-inspired mirror work, colourful thread embroidery and delicate tassel detailing.

She kept her styling relatively simple with sleek, straight hair and subtle metallic heels, allowing the outfit to remain the focus.

Vicky Kaushal complemented her in an ivory-and-gold chikankari kurta set.

The soft neutral palette worked well alongside Katrina’s olive-green ensemble, making their looks appear coordinated without being overly matched.

Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra

Kiara Advani opted for a softer festive aesthetic in a blush-pink Chanderi saree.

She paired it with a half-sleeved V-neck blouse featuring delicate embroidery. An emerald-and-diamond choker provided a striking contrast to the pink ensemble.

She completed the look with layered bangles and soft waves.

Sidharth Malhotra complemented Kiara in a short ivory kurta covered with multicoloured floral threadwork and intricate embroidery.

His comparatively restrained outfit allowed Kiara’s blush-pink and emerald combination to remain the centre of attention.

Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh

Genelia D’Souza brought a burst of colour to the celebrations in a multi-hued flared lehenga.

Her outfit featured a teal-and-mint chevron-patterned skirt with a wide metallic-gold embroidered hem. She paired it with a matching blue embroidered blouse and a deep-blue dupatta.

A traditional kundan neckpiece completed the look, while her neatly pulled-back hair kept the focus on the colourful ensemble and jewellery.

Riteish Deshmukh chose a more contemporary ethnic look, wearing a charcoal-grey short bandhgala jacket over a matching dark tunic.

His minimalist styling offered a sharp contrast to the brighter and more heavily embellished looks seen at the celebration.
