Ottawa/CMEDIA: In spite of Canada’s uncertain economic outlook, Air Canada reportedly returned to its economic stability due to its sustained profits over the past half-year.

With increasing number of air travelers, Air Canada’s first-quarter revenue nearly doubled reportedly compared with a year earlier and Air Canada’s revenue of $4.9 billion in its latest quarter, was also up from $2.6 billion in the first three months of 2022.

“The strong and improving collaboration between our people and our ecosystem partners has been key to our service delivery during this period, and sets our expectation for continued strong performance through the summer,” Chief executive Officer Michael Rousseau was reported saying,

As Air Canada Vacations, the airline’s getaway package business, yielded good results, its cargo business added five more freighters to the one it operated a year ago.

Air Canada’s net income amounted to $4 million, up from $974 million in losses a year ago.
