IBNS-CMEDIA: Alphabet’s Google launches Gemini 3.7 Flash, a new AI model that the company claims is its most intelligent tool yet for coding and agentic workflows.
The tech giant said the release comes just three weeks after Gemini 3.6 Flash and is the result of developer feedback and algorithmic innovations that it plans to incorporate into future models.
“3.7 Flash delivers substantial improvements across software engineering, knowledge work, and web development workflows — with an introductory price of half the original 3.6 Flash cost per million tokens,” Google said in a statement describing the model.
Gemini 3.7 Flash shows significant gains over Gemini 3.6 Flash in coding tasks, including debugging and issue resolution. It also delivers higher first-pass code accuracy and improved performance in generating production-ready code, scoring 43.6% versus 34.4% on FrontierCode 1.1 Main and 65.3% versus 49.0% on DeepSWE v1.1.
In web development, Gemini 3.7 Flash can generate more functional layouts and feature-complete applications with fewer prompts.
For UI generation, the model demonstrates improved adherence to reference designs, whether the input is a screenshot, image or complete design system. It also outperformed Gemini 3.6 Flash on Arena.ai’s WebDev Arena, recording an Elo score of 1,588 compared with 1,538.
In knowledge-intensive fields such as finance, law and biosciences, Gemini 3.7 Flash delivers improved reasoning and accuracy.
The model significantly outperformed Gemini 3.6 Flash on the GDP.pdf benchmark, which tests an AI model’s ability to process complex documents, scoring 34.0% compared with 22.0%.
It also surpassed its predecessor on AutomationBench, demonstrating improved capabilities in completing real-world business workflows, with a score of 30.4% versus 17.0%.
Google said Gemini 3.7 Flash also offers a noticeably improved developer experience over Gemini 3.6 Flash. The model is better at adapting to roadblocks, clarifying user intent when necessary and following instructions more accurately.
According to the company, Gemini 3.7 Flash also puts greater effort into multi-step planning and tool calls. Its more disciplined execution is expected to reduce the need for manual oversight and repeated attempts across engineering workflows.
Gemini 3.7 Flash is available through the end of the year at an introductory price of $0.75 per 1 million input tokens and $3.75 per 1 million output tokens.
