Cambridge, Ontario – May 23–24, 2026: The Toronto Branch of the Dayalbagh Radhasoami Satsang Association of North America (DRSANA) Canada proudly commemorated its 50th Golden Jubilee this past weekend, marking five decades of selfless service, community living, and spiritual activities in Canada.

The milestone celebration took place at the Toronto Satsang Ghar in the historic Hespeler Village of Waterloo Region, bringing together more than 170 attendees and families from across the Greater Toronto Area and North America. Guests traveled from as far as Ottawa, Montreal, New Jersey, Florida, Portland, and San Francisco to mark the occasion.

Formal celebrations commenced with the ringing of the temple’s majestic steeple bell 50 times — one toll for each year of the Toronto Branch’s journey — followed by a traditional Paath (hymn) resonating through the sanctuary on the Satsang Ghar’s grand pipe organ.

Despite rainy weather throughout the weekend, the spirit and enthusiasm of the congregation remained unwavering.Local Member of Parliament Dr. Matthew Strauss attended as a special guest, acknowledging the organization’s longstanding contributions to civic engagement, volunteerism, and community harmony within Canada.

A central highlight of the celebration was the ceremonial cutting of the Golden Jubilee cake by Mr. K. B. Mehta, President of DRSANA Canada, who encouraged members to continue advancing the organization’s enduring values of compassion, unity, universal brotherhood, and spiritual growth. Baseball hats with a 50 years Golden Jubilee logo was designed and distributed among the present congregation on a cost basis.

The Golden Jubilee reflected the vibrant intergenerational character of the Toronto Branch community. Children between the ages of 3 and 12 participated in cultural presentations and recreational activities organized through the Children’s Recreational Activities wing, while youth volunteers devoted considerable time to event logistics — from assembling outdoor tents to coordinating hospitality for visiting guests and starting a small kitchen garden as agriculture activity in line with sustainable living principles.

Members of the Mahila (Ladies) Association played a central role throughout, preparing and serving traditional meals across both days of the gathering, exemplifying the principles of seva and collective care that remain foundational to the organization. A sale of useful products (home made candles and shampoo, bags, aprons)  prepared by sister’s of Mahila Association took place.

In keeping with the association’s commitment to environmental stewardship, members gathered Sunday morning for a community clean-up initiative at Riverside Park in Kitchener, reinforcing the organization’s dedication to serving the broader community.

The weekend concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Toronto Branch Satsang Secretary Usha (Nidhi Sharma), who expressed deep appreciation to all volunteers, organizers, families, and guests whose dedication made the historic celebration possible. She extended an open invitation to local residents and spiritual seekers to attend the branch’s weekly Saturday Satsang services, held at 5:00 PM.

The Golden Jubilee served equally as a moment of reflection on the branch’s enduring legacy and a reaffirmation of its future vision. The Toronto Branch continues to thrive through a broad range of educational, cultural, and spiritual initiatives spanning all generations — including Zonal and District Satsangs, Mahila Association cooking and sewing classes, youth essay programs, distance education in theology, yoga, Hindi, and music, and ongoing sustainability and community outreach efforts.

As the Toronto Branch marks fifty years of unwavering faith, fellowship, and service, this Golden Jubilee stands not only as a celebration of past achievements, but as a living testament to the values that will continue to guide its future.
