Toronto/CMEDIA: The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) has provided funding for the past 60 years to facilitate a wide range of resources and research endeavors to illuminate and educate the public about the nation’s Founding Era. 

A selection of NEH-supported projects celebrating 250 years of American Independence can be discovered by exploring special exhibitions over the Fourth of July weekend.

Winners Announced for the NEH-Sponsored American Heroes Student Art Contest

Being a sponsor of the Freedom 250 American Heroes Student Art Contest, NEH invites students to create artwork inspired by important figures of American history. 

Winners of the national contest, which was open to students in grades 3-12,  will be honored at an awards ceremony on July 8, 2026.
