Ontario’s Peel Project Erase, Project Noisemaker Eliminating Racing Activities on Streets

Toronto: Peel Regional Police participate in Project ERASE (Eliminating Racing Activities on Streets Everywhere), to eliminate dangerous driving behavior on streets for the safety of the community through education as well as in Project Noisemaker to target vehicles with excessively loud exhaust systems.

“Project ERASE is a strategic enforcement initiative to eliminate dangerous driving behavior on our streets in order to keep our community safe,” police said in a news release. “Project Noisemaker targets vehicles with modified and/or excessively loud exhaust systems.”

Police reportedly laid more than 1,400 charges in Peel Region in connection with projects targeting street racing and excessive noise.us activity that risks the lives of our community members.

Speeding, aggressive driving, and impaired driving enforcement are a “top priority” for the force, said the police.
