‘Don’t insult students’: Rahul Gandhi to PM Modi, demands Dharmendra Pradhan’s exit

New Delhi/IBNS-CMEDIA: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his late-night social media video assuring students of stricter action against those involved in the NEET paper leak, as protests over the issue continue to intensify across the country.

Sharing Modi’s video on X, Gandhi accused the Prime Minister of insulting students and urged him to accept the protesters’ demands.

“Mr. Modi, our students are demanding Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. Don’t insult their intelligence with this pathetic midnight video. 1. Sack Pradhan. 2. Punish those who beat students. 3. Apologise,” the Congress MP wrote.

PM Modi assures action against paper leak accused

In a video message posted on X, Prime Minister Modi acknowledged the distress caused by paper leaks and said the government had taken several measures over the past two-and-a-half months to address the crisis.

His remarks came hours after the Delhi High Court announced the creation of a fast-track court to hear cases related to paper leaks.

‘Paper leak is not an ordinary issue’

Describing the issue as deeply painful for students and their families, Modi said the government fully understood the gravity of the situation.

“Friends, I know that paper leak is not an ordinary issue. It is very painful for lakhs of students and their families. That is why many steps have been taken in the last two and a half months,” he said.

The Prime Minister said authorities had already taken action against those responsible.

“The culprits have been caught and are in jail. Our most important responsibility was to ensure that students do not waste a single year. It was very important to take the exams immediately,” he added.
