Royal Canadian Mint unveils colorful coin to honor coronation anniversary of King Charles III

Toronto/CMEDIA: A new collector-edition silver coin has been unveiled by the Royal Canadian Mint in honor of  King Charles III and celebrating his coronation anniversary.

British photographer Hugo Burnand took a portrait of the King at his coronation on March 6, 2023.

The back of the 99.99 per cent silver dollar in full colour is graced by a reproduction of that portrait.

“This regal portrait is framed by maple leaves engraved over a mirror-like background. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty, designed by Canadian artist Steven Rosati,” a release from the Mint reads.
