CMEDIA: A meeting reportedly between Canada and other G7 countries is being held today to discuss a potential response to Iran’s Saturday attack on Israel.

Describing the attack as brazen,  U.S. President Joe Biden reportedly said that to coordinate a united diplomatic response to the attack, he would convene the meeting of the Group of Seven advanced democracies today.

But Israeli officials in the country and its allies were able to intercept 99 percent of the attack and sustained only minor damage. Iran has since declared the operation over.

The unprecedented Iran’s attack by launching around 300 missiles and drones at targets inside Israel early Sunday spiralled regional tensions and long-held fears about the escalation of Israel-Hamas war.

Condemning Iran for its attack, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.  and his party members said the attack has further destabilized the region.
