Toronto/CMEDIA: Located at 401 Richmond Street West in Suite LL01 on the eastern entrance of the building, just off of Peter Street. Museum of Toronto is Toronto’s city museum connecting Torontonians to the city and to each other through exhibitions, public programs, and digital storytelling — from untold and rarely told stories to the people, places, and ideas shaping the city today — that help people connect with Toronto’s past, present, and future.
Created to fill a long-recognized gap in the city’s cultural landscape, Museum of Toronto is dedicated to Toronto itself.
With its mission to inspire curiosity, Museum of Toronto fosters connection, and builds a collective sense of belonging by evolving stories of the people who call Toronto home, better understand the city, encounter different perspectives, and see themselves within Toronto’s shared story.
Museum of Toronto has grown through exhibitions, partnerships, and public engagement across the city since launching publicly in 2015 while continuing to work toward a permanent home for Toronto’s stories.
