The City of Toronto will host its eighth annual Toronto Newcomer Day tomorrow at Nathan Phillips Square and Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W. from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m.
Toronto residents would be joined by the Toronto Deputy Mayor Ana Bailão (Davenport) and City staff to celebrate the tremendous contributions that newcomers make to this diverse city with an information fair with family-friendly activities will be held on Nathan Phillips Square from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
As part of Team Toronto’s continuing efforts to bring COVID-19 vaccination opportunities to places residents live, work, and play, a COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Nathan Phillips Square would also be hosted by Toronto Public Health
The clinic would offer first, second, third, fourth, and pediatric doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to anyone who is eligible and operate by appointment and on a walk-in basis.
While OHIP is not required, masks are mandatory inside the clinic area.
The formal program will include Deputy Mayor Ana Bailão reading the Toronto NewcomerFrom 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. Day proclamation during her remarks would be accompanied by other speakers and dance/musical performances.
Toronto Newcomer Day is sponsored by Desjardins Financial Group, chatr (Rogers Communication), Tim Hortons, Star Metroland Media, and New Canadians TV.
