York Regional Police arrest three in commercial break and enter, serching multiple other suspects

York Regional Police (YRP) #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau reportedly arrested three men following commercial break and enter in the City of Richmond Hill, while serching for additional suspects.

The police responded on Monday, April 1, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m. to a commercial warehouse in the area of Leslie Street and Major Mackenzie Drive East, where more than ten suspects were breaking in with hammers and electric saws.

Two suspects were immediately arrested by the officers after they arrived while a number of other suspects fled.

With the engagement of the Canine Unit a third suspect was quickly taken into custody a short time later.

Charges were laid against all the three culprits, Sandu-Daniel NAE, 48, of City of Markham, Razvan-Nicolae GHEORGHE, 35, of Markham and Romeo LACHE, 35, City of Toronto.

All three were charged with participation in Criminal Organization, Commission of Offence for Criminal Organization, Break and Enter with Intent, Disguise with Intent, Possession of Break-in Instruments, Possession of Property obtained by Crime and Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence.

Investigators are now looking 11 additional suspects, believed to be Eastern European aged 20 to 50 years old and known to travel in groups.
