Montreal/CMEDIA: Two Montreal-area organizations are reportedly being investigated by Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) as “alleged Chinese police stations,” the RCMP confirmed Thursday morning,

The alleged centres reportedly located in Montreal and Brossard, on the South Shore were used to monitor and threaten Chinese fugitives living abroad, sometimes forcing them to return to China for persecution. according to human rights group Safeguard Defenders

The discovery of over alleged 100 Chinese police stations across the globe which monitors disappearances in China were reported in 2022 from the organization.

Further details on the Montreal-area centres involved in the investigatio have not been provided by the RCMP.

Chinese Canadians who have been victimized by a suspected overseas police station have been urged by Poirier to come forward and call 514-939-8301.

“These activities and any other form of intimidation, harassment or targeting of diaspora communities or individuals in Canada will not be tolerated,” he was reported saying.
