Ontario’s new initiative Fewer Fees, Better Services Act making easier for Ontarians to start a business

Toronto/CMEDIA: The Ontario government is implementing a new initiative as part of the Fewer Fees, Better Services Act to launch a new website Ontario.ca/business  making it easier for Ontarians to start and grow a business.

Fewer Fees, Better Services Act received Royal Assent on March 3, 2022, and builds on efforts to cut red tape and reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens for businesses.

“We’re working toward making it easier for entrepreneurs and growing businesses…with the launch of the new website, we’re taking the first step…to allow entrepreneurs to more effectively interact with government in meeting the requirements to get their business up and running,” said Nina Tangri, Associate Minister of Small Business and Red Tape Reduction in a news release.

This new resource for businesses will reduce administrative burdens and facilitate access to the information and services needed by the Ontario business owners and entrepreneurs to start a business create jobs, and grow their businesses.

The development of the website over time into an intuitive, predictable, and transparent source of information needed for new and growing businesses will allow the addition of new tools to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and business owners.

The launch of Ontario.ca/business signals that the province has listened to business owners and is raising the bar for customer service…using modern technology and design to remove obstacles that unnecessarily complicate the business application process,” said Vic Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade in the news release.
