Toronto/CMEDIA: Millions of dollars every year is being cost by Public system due to the transition of burned-out nurses who’ve left Canada’s healthcare industry now returning to the job through private agencies.
Nurses employed through these temporary agencies reportedly not only earn more than double the wages of staff nurses doing the same jobs in the same hospitals, they also are in full control over their work schedules.
Long-time nurses have reported saying that those costs are continusoly rising unless something is done to address systemic issues in the Canadian health-care system forcing workers to leave their jobs.
