Many flights in and out of Toronto Pearson airport cancelled as Maritimes, U.S. expect winter storms

Toronto: Parts of the United States and Canada reportedly expecting powerful winter storms, several flights in and out of Toronto Pearson International Airport have been cancelled.

Strong winds and heavy snowfall expected in the northeast U.S. due to a winter storm, has laed to cancelling flights into Toronto from New York, New Jersey, Boston, and Philadelphia.

North of the border, in Nova Scotia, another storm could bring up to 25 cm of snow to the Halifax region later in the afternoon.

In turn, 12 flights between Halifax Stanfield and Toronto Pearson have also been cancelled., the airport said.

Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Storm Watches have been posted by Environment Canada for the province of Nova Scotia.
