Winnipeg/CMEDIA: Working to make life more affordable, strengthening health care, improving public safety and growing the economy, the Manitoba government returns to the legislature with focus and affordability, Health care.
Manitoba government house leader Nahanni Fontaine has announced in the third session of the 43rd legislature that it working on what matters most to Manitobans.
“We are working on what matters most to Manitobans,” said Fontaine. “Whether it’s making life more affordable, helping people get the health care they need when and where they need it, or creating good jobs and growing our economy, we have made real progress. But there is more work to do and that’s what this legislative session will be about.”
Working to lower rents and strengthen and provide protections for renters, Manitoba legislation is helping to keep drinking water safe, and strengthening protection for workers would be among the bills included in the legislature this session, noted Fontaine.
By reopening the Dauphin emergency department and investing in public safety, Fontaine added that the Manitoba government has made progress by reducing the deficit,
The Manitoba government will also introduce and pass its budget that includes free transit for youth, investments in front-line health care and support for economic development.
