IBNS-CMEDIA: A new cultural and intellectual bridge between India and the United Kingdom is set to rise this October with IndiSetu, an ambitious thought leadership summit in London. Designed to spark dialogue, foster collaboration, and connect professionals across borders, the two-day event promises a vibrant mix of ideas, networking, and cultural exchange. Behind this initiative is Dr Amit Ghose — consultant urologist, global health advocate, and founding director of the Global Collaboration Forum — who envisions IndiSetu as more than just a conference: “It’s a meeting ground for changemakers, innovators, and dreamers,” he tells IBNS correspondent Ayush Gupta.

Excerpts…

Q. What was the idea behind IndiSetu?

A. IndiSetu is an event born of conviction, curiosity, and collaboration. It is conceived as an intellectual and cultural bridge between India and the United Kingdom. The summit will bring together changemakers from across disciplines to address shared challenges and explore transformative possibilities of our time. It also aims to establish itself as a major networking platform for professionals.

Q. How does IndiSetu aim to address today’s global challenges?

A. We live in a world that demands fresh thinking. From the climate crisis to the future of healthcare, from reimagining education to nurturing sustainable entrepreneurship, our century is one of redefinition.

IndiSetu responds to this urgency by inviting participation from policymakers, academics, entrepreneurs, artists, and students alike — those who prioritise convergence over silos and purpose over protocol.

Q. What is the core philosophy of this summit?

A. Through IndiSetu, we aim to seed enduring networks that inspire bold ideas and collaborative action. We extend a warm invitation to every right-thinking individual who believes, as we do, that the future must be built together — with empathy, imagination, and resolve.

Q. What is the Planet Pitch?

A. Planet Pitch is one of the most exciting features of the summit. It is a nationwide challenge that empowers young Indian start-ups to present sustainability-focused solutions to a global audience. The selected start-ups will pitch their ideas to international investors in the final round, which will be held in London.

Q. Can you tell us more about the summit?

A. Proceedings will open on the first day with an award ceremony at the House of Lords in London, recognising global visionaries. The second day’s agenda will feature discussions, presentations, business pitches, and a concert at the British Medical Association House.

Ahead of the London summit, the Global Collaboration Forum will host a launch event in India this August.
