Toronto, ON – Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema is excited to unveil a dynamic lineup of screenings, series and special events running from May 23 to June 21. New release Parade: Queer Acts of Love & Resistance traces the resistance of Canada’s 2SLGBTQI+ movement over the course of several decades and returns to the cinema following its world premiere at Hot Docs as Opening Night Film for the 2025 Festival. The film joins several other films and special events making up Pride Projected, a series of stories of chosen family, queer art and activism, identity and understanding, to mark pride month in Toronto. Additional series will bring films both new and classic, including the For Viola screening of The Encampments, the Art of Anime screening of Studio Ghibli’s Castle in the Sky, and the A Year of Austen screening of Kandukondain Kandukondain.
