The documentary depicts a repetition of the history being witnessed by the indigenous communities similar to the extermination of the prairie bison that so many Indigenous peoples relied on for survival. Returning Home illuminates a path to reconciliation and shares teachings on how to begin to heal and live in harmony with our natural world.

Being a year-round home for first-run Canadian and international documentary films, Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema is a historic, century-old community cinema that also showcases special presentations. It also showcases many of the city’s independent film festivals and offers some specialized fiction film programming.

Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema is proud to be part of the Bloor St. Culture Corridor (BCC), launched in April 2014 with its corridor running approximately 1.6 km along Bloor Street, from Bathurst Street to Bay Street, and is home to a dozen permanent world‐class arts organizations presenting professional arts and cultural events for the public year‐round in destination venues.
