Canada opens new application processing centre in Manila, Philippines to boost global immigration processing

Ottawa/CMEDIA: An announcement was made today by Rechie Valdez, Member of Parliament for Mississauga Streetsville on behalf of Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, regarding the opening of a new application processing centre in Manila, Philippines, a news release reported.

Considering the importance of the Indo-Pacific region and its impact on Canadians, Canada’s comprehensive and inclusive strategy woud guide Canada’s actions in Canada’s investment in fostering ties between Canadians and the region as part of its Indo-Pacific Strategy.

This initiave would not only helps Canada’s Indo-Pacific’ Strategy but would also boost immigration application processing within Canada’s centralized network as well as abroad

Located within Canada’s Embassy in Manila, the new centre will be supported by 37 new employees as part of Canada’s ongoing efforts to accommodate the high volume of visa applications from around the world and to also improve client service and help achieve Canada’s planned increases to immigration levels in the years to come.

Canada is expanding its prence overseas by making strategic investments with an aim to bring more people to Canada, either as visitors, as students, on work visa, or as permanent immigrants.
