IBNS-CMEDIA: India delivered an impressive performance at the Commonwealth Games on Saturday, securing multiple medals across various disciplines and strengthening its position in the medals table.

Boxers Preeti Pawar and Jaismine Lamboria led India’s charge by clinching a gold medal each, providing a significant boost to the country’s medal tally.

Preeti defeated Canada’s Scarlett Savannah Delgado in the women’s 54kg final to claim India’s first boxing gold medal of the ongoing edition of the Games.

Jaismine followed suit with a commanding victory over Northern Ireland’s Michaela Walsh in the women’s 57kg final, earning India’s second boxing gold.

However, Jadumani Singh narrowly missed out on the top podium, losing to Australia’s Jye Dixon in the men’s 55kg final and settling for the silver medal.

With Saturday’s successes, India’s overall medal haul rose to 30, comprising eight gold, 15 silver and seven bronze medals.
