Toronto: The reults of elections in Toronto and Greater Toronto Area (GTA) have reportedly been finalized.

John Tory has been re-elected for a third term and has become Toronto’s longest serving mayor provided he remains in office for the full four years.

Here are all the highlights from election night in the GTA.

Steven Del Duca, former Ontario Transportation Minister and Ontario Liberal Party leader has been elected the new mayor of Vaughan.

Beating out former Hamilton mayor Bob Bratina and former Hamilton Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Keanin LoomisIn Hamilton, Andrea Horwath has been elected as the first-ever woman mayor of Hamilton.

After a contentious campaign and chaotic first term in office due to council division, Patrick Brown has been re-elected mayor of Brampton. 

Despite criminal charges, Michael Thompson has been re-elected by the voters in Scarborough Centre.

Bonnie Crombie has been re-elected for a third-consecutive term as mayor of Mississauga, beating out business owner Derick Ramkissoon and others in a landslide.
