Toronto/CMEDIA: Threats of 11 high schools within the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) have reportedly been responded to by Toronto police on Monday.

The police believe that all the threats came from a voicemail from the same individual(s) over the weekend.

Ashley Visser said that no arrests have been made at this point.

All the locations were “investigated, and deemed that there was no credible threat,”  by the police, said the media officer, but did not disclose the locations.

Marc Garneau Collegiate Institute, near Don Mills Road and Overlea Boulevard, was one of the affected schools.

It was evacuated shortly after 8 a.m.

Investigators have not disclosed details of the threat, and the students were allowed back into the school a short time later.

A threat  was also received by Winston Churchill Collegiate, near Lawrence Avenue East and Kennedy Road in Scarborough, and was placed in hold-and-secure earlier today but after it was deemed to be “unfounded,”  that order was also lifted.

No injuries were reported in this case either, police said.

The TDSB is waiting for more information and is not commenting on the matter.

This investigation is ongoing and Toronto police are encouraging anyone with further information to contact them or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
