This morning, Toronto Mayor John Tory, Chair of the Economic and Community Development Committee Councillor Shelley Carroll (Don Valley North), and local Councillor Ausma Malik (Spadina-Fort York) launched today the annual event Winterlicious at Oretta King West, 633 King St. W., a news release has reported.
“Winterlicious is a great opportunity to get out and experience some of the incredible restaurants …I encourage all Toronto residents to make reservations now and support as many local restaurants as possible for this year’s Winterlicious,” Tory has said in a news release.
The annual event is taking place from Friday, January 27 to Thursday, February 9, with reservations opening today.
The return of Winterlicious is good news for restaurants, residents, and visitors to Toronto’s annual opportunity to explore the city’s exceptional culinary landscape, for the first time since before the pandemic.
Running for two weeks, Winterlicious 2023 starts January 27 with delicious prix fixe lunch and dinner menus at more than 220 local restaurants.
This year, menus are available at six price points; three-course prix fixe lunch menus are priced at $20, $27, $34, $41, $48 and $55, and dinners are priced at $25, $35, $45, $55, $65 and $75. Restaurants will accept reservations for the prix fixe promotion starting today.
The City of Toronto extends its gratitude for the generous support of partners CP24, Toronto Star, and NewsTalk 1010.
While continuing to support the recovery and revival of Toronto’s restaurants this year’s Winterlicious program has been renewed to help the local industry generate much-needed revenue.
“Winterlicious wouldn’t be possible without the incredible restaurants, chefs, staff, and devoted foodies…Many thanks to our sponsors for their invaluable support,” said Shelley Carroll.
Created by the City of Toronto in 2003, the Winterlicious and Summerlicious programs boost Toronto’s restaurant industry during typically slow periods of business.
Participating restaurants have served more than 8 million meals, generating more than $353 million in economic activity for the local restaurant industry since the program’s inception.
