Toronto/CMEDIA: Gas prices in southern Ontario are set soar to its highest level since the fall on Wednesday.
Greater Toronto Area drivers are expected to see a nearly 10-cent hike at the prices tomorrow, according to Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Energy.
Gas prices in the GTA and much of southern Ontario will jump from 156.5 cents per litre to 164.9 overnight, a number not seen since Nov. 15.
Prices could go even higher in the coming months, according to McTeague, as winter gas blends are swapped out for summer blends.
South of the border would be closely watched, said McTeague, to see if their federal government decides to pause raising interest rates, which will have a direct effect on the gas price.
