Toronto/CMEDIA: The following press release regarding resumption of Walk-in services at BLS centers in Canada has been issued by the Consulate General of Toronto Office.
In order to facilitate better delivery of visa and consular services, it has been decided to start walk-in services at all BLS centres in Canada with effect from February 1, 2023.
2. All applicants seeking Visa, OCI, Passport and other consular services can use the walk-in mode to submit their applications and supporting documents with BLS centres, without prior appointment. Walk-in services are being introduced in addition to the appointment and postal modes, which would continue to remain available. Depending upon the resources available at each centre and total number of daily appointments already booked, only a limited number of such walk-in applicants will be served every working day from 8.00 AM to 1.00 PM.
3. BLS centres would issue tokens to all such walk-in applicants who can be served on the same day, within 30 minutes of their arrival at these centres. Please note that in case you are not issued a token within 30 minutes of arrival, you may opt to come back at a later date or book an alternate mode of submission of your application and supporting documents. All applicants are advised that only applications which are complete in all respects would be accepted at the BLS centres.
4. Those who have already booked appointments for submission of their applications and would, now, like to use the walk-in facility are requested to vacate/cancel their appointment slots, once their applications are accepted, so that the same becomes available to others seeking consular services.
