Ottawa/CMEDIA: A number of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s own members of Parliament (MPs) reportedly had demanded his resignation as the Liberal leader.

Dissenting Liberal MPs held a closed-door meeting communicating with each other about the grievances against Trudeau and have set October 28 as a deadline for Trudeau to take a call on his future as the Liberal leader.

A document was reportedly furnished at a caucus meeting, outlining the case for Trudeau’s stepping down with an agreement demanding Trudeau’s resignation was signed by 24 Liberal MPs.

Accepting the frustrations of the 20-odd MPs, Immigration Minister Marc Miller was reported saying, “Fundamentally, this is something that has been simmering for some time and it’s important for people to get it out. This isn’t a code red situation. The prime minister can sure as hell handle the truth.”

The meeting was addressed by Trudeau himself who became emotional when he talked about his children having to see “F— Trudeau” signs in public.

Trudeau said at the end of the meeting that although he would reflect on what he heard, he did not indicate that he would resign.

The deteriorating relationship between Canada and India triggered when Trudeau accused Indian officials of their role in the killing of Khalistani terrorist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar without producing any proof.
