Ottawa/CMEDIA: While marking this year the 15th anniversary of Financial Literacy Month, (FLM) in Canada — with the theme “Talk Money” — has been helping Canadians since 2011 to improve their financial well-being by strengthening their financial knowledge and skills.
Supported by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC)’s campaign, the National Financial Literacy Strategy 2021–2026 works each Nov with partners across sectors to promote financial literacy through education and outreach.
With this year’s theme “Talk Money” which is a call to action to break down the stigma that often surrounds financial discussions and encourage open conversations about money across Canada.
New tips and resources about financial matters while talking with others about money matters can provide opportunities to learn and increase financial knowledge and confidence and can ultimately lead to better financial decisions.
FLM is about encouraging conversations to share practical steps toward financial confidence whether you’re a student trying to budget smarter, a parent managing household expenses, or an organization looking to support your audience.
