Santa and his reindeer flight crew for take-off in Canadian airspace has been cleared by Canada’s Minister of Transport, Omar Alghabra, a news release has said.
Earlier this week in a secure message Santa confirmed to Alghabra earlier this week that he completed his final test flight of the year and checked that he and the reindeer showed no signs of COVID-19 symptoms before take-off.
Santa’s sleigh for travel were cleared earlier this month by Transport Canada Safety Inspectors by conducting their stringent safety, communications, and navigation checks, as well as test the landing gear. Safety Inspectors also checked the reindeer’s harnesses to ensure they were secure for the journey ahead.
Santa’s gift bag was checked twice to ensure Canadians from coast-to-coast-to-coast receive their presents this year.
“I’m honoured to clear Santa and his reindeer flight crew for travel in Canadian skies this year…I’d like to wish all Canadians from coast-to-coast-to-coast a merry Christmas and festive holiday season,” said Alghabra in the news release.
