The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted Fighter, which is directed by Siddharth Anand, a ‘U/A’ certificate after the removal of two scenes including one with “sexually suggested visuals”.
Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor play the IAF officers in the film, which also promises to have an emotional roller-coaster.
Hrithik and Deepika, who share screen space for the first time in Fighter, will share a romantic bond in the film.
The film is slated to be released on January 25, 2024 on the occasion of the country’s Republic Day (January 26).
Siddharth had previously directed Hrithik in two of his films, Bang Bang and War while Deepika in Bachna Ae Haseeno and Pathaan.
