Toronto/CMEDIA: For the second time in a week, Air Canada is experiencing a technical issue with its flight communications system, causing delays across the country.
The Montreal-based airline said in a statement it is experiencing “a temporary technical issue with with its communicator system…resulting in flight delays across our system, but we continue to operate flights at a reduced rate. Customers are advised to check their flights before going to the airport. We apologize to those affected, and appreciate their patience,” the airline said in an emailed statement.
Delays at airports across the country and internationally were also reported Passengers reported on Thursday, one week after the company issued a ground stop over the same technical issue.
The number of flights affected is still unclear, but passengers reported delays on social media for flights departing from Halifax, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Winnipeg, Calgary and Vancouver, as well as from the United Kingdom and United States.
