Shafali’s record-breaking hundred
Shafali Verma was the star of India’s batting effort, smashing a record-breaking 100 off 49 balls, including nine sixes and three fours.
She shared a 94-run partnership with Harmanpreet Kaur, who scored 40. Earlier, Smriti Mandhana provided India with a flying start, scoring 37 off 19 balls.
India posted a formidable total before their bowlers dismantled the Bangladesh chase.

Nandani Sharma and Deepti Sharma claimed three wickets each, while Sree Charani took two as Bangladesh were bowled out for 81.
The emphatic victory booked India’s place in the gold-medal match against Sri Lanka on September 22.
