IBNS-CMEDIA: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Independence Day, highlighting India’s strength in having a stable government and outlining his administration’s seven-point reform agenda aimed at securing the country’s future and driving the next generation of reforms.
Addressing the nation from the historic Red Fort, Modi outlined seven key areas of focus: manufacturing, agriculture and food processing, technology and innovation, Gati Shakti (mobility and connectivity), Raksha Shakti (defence security), the green and blue economy, and soft power.

“India has a stable political mandate and a stable government,” Modi said.
He also highlighted the strength of India’s institutions, saying, “We have a strong judicial system and a Constitution that continues to guide us.”

Modi said the world was increasingly recognising India’s capabilities, noting that the country had entered into Free Trade Agreements with nearly 40 countries since 2014.
“That is why I urge our MSMEs to make the most of this opportunity,” he said.

Elaborating on his seven-point agenda, Modi called on the nation to embrace what he described as ‘Shakti Ki Saptadhara’.
“Today, from the ramparts of the Red Fort, I call upon the nation to embrace ‘Shakti Ki Saptadhara’,” he said.
“When I speak of the Saptadhara, the first strength is our manufacturing power,” Modi said.
He stressed the need for India to develop complete value chains and strengthen its position in global manufacturing.
“We must build a complete value chain. From design to manufacturing, India must establish itself as a trusted global supply chain partner for the world,” Modi said.
He also called for India to meet global benchmarks in cost, quality and scale.
