The delegation includes leading Indian companies from sectors such as advanced manufacturing, clean energy, digital technologies, gems and jewellery, food processing, healthcare and design.

Spain: Focus on trade, investment and India-EU FTA

During his visit to Spain on July 13, Goyal will focus on advancing bilateral trade and investment while exploring opportunities arising from the proposed India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

He is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with:

Jordi Hereu Boher, Minister of Industry and Tourism José Manuel Albares Bueno, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation

The minister will also chair an India-Spain Business Roundtable with leading Spanish companies and industry associations to showcase investment opportunities in India and promote stronger business-to-business partnerships.

He will participate in another business roundtable organised by the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, CEOE and ICEX Spain Trade & Investment, bringing together Indian and Spanish industry leaders to explore cooperation in sectors including automotive, renewable energy, railways, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, food processing and tourism.

Spanish firms such as Iberdrola, Acciona, CAF, Talgo, Gestamp and Indra already have a significant presence in India, while Indian companies including TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) are expanding their operations in Spain to support digitalisation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

The visit also coincides with the Spain-India Dual Year 2026, commemorating 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Belgium: Logistics, diamonds and technology cooperation

In Belgium on July 14 and 15, Goyal will visit the Port of Antwerp and the Antwerp World Diamond Centre.

The visit to the Port of Antwerp will provide insights into one of Europe’s leading logistics hubs, with discussions focusing on multimodal connectivity, green logistics and resilient supply chains.

At the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, discussions will centre on the global diamond value chain, certification, responsible sourcing and opportunities for India’s gems and jewellery sector.

The minister will also hold CEO-level meetings with Alain Queverin of Thales Group and Jean-Christophe Bogaert of Silox Group.

Thales is a global leader in aerospace, defence, cybersecurity and digital identity with significant partnerships in India, while Silox operates major specialty chemicals and battery recycling facilities in Gujarat.

During his stay in Brussels, he will co-chair the third India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) Ministerial Meeting alongside the External Affairs Minister and the Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology.

The TTC serves as the highest institutional mechanism for India-EU cooperation on trade, trusted technology and economic security.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Goyal is expected to meet senior European leaders, including the President of the European Commission, the President of the European Council, and the Prime Minister of Belgium.

He will also hold bilateral meetings with David Clarinval, Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Employment, Economy and Agriculture, and Maroš Šefčovič, European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security.
