Toronto/CMEDIA: Applications for thousands reportedly are being accepted by the City of Toronto for paid positions needed to staff voting places during this year’s municipal election.   Â
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in Canada for Election day on Monday, Oct. 26.
According to the city’s website, daily pay ranges from $280 to $420.
While gaining customer service, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving experience, successful applicants will help administer the municipal election.
Where possible, workers will be assigned to voting places close to their home.
Applicants are required to create their account in the Election Jobs Registration Portal by clicking: Create your account .
Applications can be submitted through the Toronto Elections website.
Residents without access to a computer or internet can apply at Toronto Public Library branches, Toronto Employment and Social Services locations and community employment hubs.
