Ottawa/CMEDIA: Canada’s premiers have reportedly laid out their priorities for next week’s meeting with Canada’s PM Mark Carney.

Infrastructure investments and the state of US-Canada trade negotiations, said Canada’s premiers are high on their agenda for an upcoming meeting with Carney. Also included in their agenda are trade relations with China and India.

A virtual meeting with the nation’s provincial and territorial leaders would be hosted on Monday by Carney with the premiers having laid out their priorities in a letter to the prime minister this morning.

In their letter the premiers said that since their last meeting in July, Canada’s relationship with the US has changed significantly and it’s important to keep the provinces in the loop on the state of affairs.

Premiers added in the letter Carney’s commitment to regular meetings is appreciated by them and added Canada’s economy is best served when there is collaboration between Ottawa and the provinces and territories.

Next week’s scheduled virtual meeting will be the latest in a series of meetings between the premiers and Carney since he became prime minister earlier this year.
