IBNS-CMEDIA: A court on Wednesday sentenced Bangladesh’s ousted former PM Sheikh Hasina to six months in prison in a contempt of court case, media reports said.
The order was given by the three-member tribunal of the International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT).
The tribunal, led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder, passed the order after reviewing a leaked phone conversation involving Hasina that circulated on social media last year before being picked up by several mainstream media outlets.
