Winnipeg/CMEDIA: Three reports of animal cruelty in the west side of Winnipeg repaortedly regarding multiple dead cats are being investigated by the Winnipeg police.

The reports were all filed in December, said police, after people found dead cats near a popular walking area.

On Dec. 8, Dec. 28, and Dec. 30, all the incidents happened under the bridge on Summit Road, north of Saskatchewan Avenue.

Approximately six cats in bags or on the path under the bridge in the area were found by investigators .

Some of the cats had pet identifiers, said police and investigators are still trying to see if the others had owners.

Being unsure if these three reports are connected to previous reports of dead cats in the Point Douglas area, the police asks anyone with information about these to call police or Crime Stoppers.
