Toronto/CMEDIA: The International Youth Canada (IYC) is organizing today a Student Summit and Career Clinic at the Chinese Cultural Centre in Scarborough from 4 PM to 8 PM.
Recognizing Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square during the Summit, various experts and organizations will showcase job opportunities, while artists and volunteers from Levitate Entertainment’s recent grand event.
Designed to significantly benefit students, especially as many international students navigate various challenges, the Career Clinic will run from 4 PM to 6 PM, offering sessions on resume evaluation, job prospects, and interview preparation.
Led by Anto Mathew, Human Resource Director at Villa Charities with over 25 years of experience in HR, he will be joined by numerous seasoned HR professionals from various organizations.
Attendees will also have the chance to take photos for their LinkedIn profiles.
Artists and performers in the theatre at the Cultural Centre will also be honored at the same time by Levitate Entertainment.
Taking place from 6 PM to 8 PM, the event’s main attraction, led by Siddhartha Nath, the Indian Consul General in Toronto. Randal Arsenault, Ontario Human Rights Commissioner, the Student Summit will feature an awareness program for international students by conducting a safety and security awareness session.
Facilitating discussions on maximizing the Canadian college experience will be done by experts from Seneca College, while mental health topics will be addressed by specialists from Punjabi Community Health Services (PCHS).
The event will also be participated by various student leaders, including Sara Rodrigues, President of the Seneca Student Federation, along with community leaders.
Open to international students and newcomers,with free admission for those who register in advance. students from diverse backgrounds are expected to attend.
