Ontario’s new 109 COVID-19 deaths, single highest weekly death count since early May

Toronto: During the sixth wave of the pandemic, Ontario’s report of 109 new COVID-19 deaths over the past seven days is reportedly the single highest weekly death count since early May.

67 deaths the week before were reported by Ontario’s ministry of health’s new data released Thursday.

Weekly data released by the province normally includes seven individual days’ worth of information covering the number of newly reported COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, intensive care admissions, and deaths.

Over the past seven days, Ontario has also seen an increase in the number of hospitalization, and people in the Intensive Care Units from 1,629 to 1,663, and from 143 to 158 respectively.
