TD Gallery is the main exhibit space at Toronto Public Library which curates four free exhibitions each year, showcasing  Special Collections and beyond.

A collection of reportedly original art from our world-class Special Collections — divided into four thematic sections, one for each season: Summer, Spring, Autumn and Winter.

Highlights:
  • Rare paintings dating back to 1807 from our Canadian Documentary Art Collection
  • Beautiful photos of Algonquin Park in the fall and other gems from our Toronto Star Photograph Archive
  • Massive wildlife prints from John J. Audubon’s Birds of America (TPL has one of only three copies in Canada)
  • Charming illustrations from children’s books by Canadian and Canada-based illustrators such as Margret Bloy Graham, Brenda Clarke and Qin Leng
  • Fantastical artwork from our Merril Collection of Science Fiction, Speculation & Fantasy, including art by Elizabeth Pearse
